Sauteed Bell Peppers

Stir-fry Bell Peppers
Some vegetables taste best when cooked with a few ingredients.  Capsicum is one of them.  This appetizing side dish will add a slight sweetness to your meals.

Capsicum/Green Pepper - 1 big
Red Bell Pepper - 1 big
Yellow Bell Pepper - 1 big
Onions - 2 medium
Garlic - 5 cloves
Cilantro/Coriander Leaves - few sprigs
Cayenne Pepper/Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric/Haldi - 1/4 tsp
How to make Sauteed Capsicum:
  • Heat 2 - 3 tbsp oil in a kadhai or a pan.  Add finely chopped garlic and saute for 2 minutes.  Now add finely chopped onions and saute till onions turn soft.
  • Add medium chopped green, yellow and red bell peppers.  Saute for about 5 minutes at low flame. 
  • Add chopped cilantro, salt, turmeric, cayenne pepper and black pepper powder.  You can add garam masala or any spice mix if you like.  Saute for couple more minutes and colorful stir-fry Bell Peppers is ready to serve.
