I would like to call this an Indian way of eating corn flakes. This is the easiest recipe I know. Perfect for kids. In Konkani its called Dudh Pho and in Marathi Dudh Pohe. Jaggery also tastes good.
Ingredients:
Milk - 1 cup
Thick Poha/Parched Rice - about 1/2 cup
Sugar
Cardamom/Elaichi - 1
Method:
1.Boil the milk and let it cool. Sugar can be added even while boiling milk.
2. Wash the parched rice with water 2-3 times to remove husk if any. Drain all the water.
3. Mix sugar in milk and stir till sugar gets dissolved.
4. After sugar gets dissolved add washed parched rice, ground cardamom and its ready. Cardamom is optional.
